Totally Creative Magazine Review and Giveaway

When the good folks over at Totally Creative Magazine offered me the opportunity to review their online magazine, I was thrilled. This was the first time I had heard about the magazine. For anyone who has stopped by my online store, withourhands, you know that I love creating crafts of all kinds. I used to subscribe to a few other craft magazines but all of them were for a specific craft; scrapbooking, stamping, cardmaking, beads. The first thing that I loved about Totally Creative Magazine was the variety of crafts included in the issue I received. They had everything from decorating a harvest candle, making a baby footprint memory frame kit to a needle-felted shoulder bag and autumn leaf bracelet and earrings.

Many times I see a craft project instruction sheet and find it confusing to follow along with the printed directions, especially if I'm new to the craft. Within the Totally Creative Magazine they offered step-by-step instructions with photos included. My favorite project in this issue was the Autumn Leaf Bracelet and Earrings. I'm definitely going to be making this one, but will probably change around the charms to one for Christmas.

Totally-Creative™ magazine is published six-times a year and purchased by subscription or single issue. The digital publication (.PDF) is delivered directly to your desktop from their secured site.

SIX TIMES A YEAR YOU'LL FIND:
- Fresh projects direct from their professional designers
- How-to's and expert tutorials
- Step-by-step instructions with clear photos
- Links to resources, supplies and videos
- Coupons and discounts on craft supplies, products & book giveaways!

You can get a sneak peek of their Fall/Holiday 2009 issue by visiting their website and signing up for their email list.

One lucky reader will win a FREE 1-year subscription to Totally Creative Magazine. That’s six issues, a $24.95 value. The giveaway runs from Oct 14th to Oct 28th at 11:59 pm (PST).

So how can you win? Glad you asked!

Kait Emerson Designs

How many times do you start following a blog, subscribe to a website or newsletter and not really know why or if you care to get information from them? I am always doing all of these - many of them because I am entering giveaways and I get extra entries by doing so. One thing that I have been spending alot of time on lately is Facebook Fan's pages. I created two of them - one for my review blog, Front Porch Reviews and one for my Artfire studio, WithourHands. Facebook allows you to create a custom facebook link when you reach 100 fans. So for the past month I have been spending time adding fans to my page, mainly by exchanging fans with other people on facebook looking for fans. One of the fan pages I fanned was Kait Emerson Designs. I was her 100th fan. She was so kind and sent me a thank you gift. It was a beautiful, fashionable shirt.

Kait Emerson Designs can be found on Etsy and Blogger.
