6 more weeks of winter

Yesterday Punxsutawney Phil crawled out of his hole in the ground, looked around at all the people and then spotted his shadow. So be it proclaimed that we will have six more weeks of winter.

In honor of the hope for Spring, today's treasury will be in celebration of Spring!

DIANTHUS DELTOIDES MAIDEN PINK ORGANIC SEEDS

Maiden Pink forms an evergreen mat with hot pink 3/4" flowers. (Impossible to photograph!) They grow 6" tall and have fragrant clusters of hot pink flowers. Dianthus Deltoides is a self-seeding perennial that will spread slowly. They have a spicy scent and are low maintenance plants that birds, bees and butterflies all enjoy. They are hardy in zones 3-9. Maiden Pink is drought tolerant and prefers full sun. They bloom from Spring to Summer and need well drained soil.
